On June 10th, 2010, KFPC hosted a Pastor’s Briefing at Central Christian Church in Wichita. Over 150 were in attendance. Many said it was an exciting educational day for them. KFPC invited two attorneys from Alliance Defense Fund and Dr. Kenyn Cureton, Vice President of Church Affairs with Family Research Council. Both attorneys’ are Pastor’s sons, which was endearing to all who attended. They were very informative about what a Pastor can and cannot do and what they can and cannot say. They encouraged Pastors to be cultural leaders in regard to social issues of our day. Speaking about cherishing life, affirming religious liberty, protecting marriage and strengthening families are all topics that our Founding Father’s believed in and championed. Dr. Kenyn Cureton brought an inspiring message sighting our Founding Fathers and how many of them were Pastors. The day went by quickly and those in attendance left encouraged. KFPC looks forward to increasing that number in the coming years.
